First and foremost, moms should wear something that makes them feel beautiful and comfortable (after all.. you just had a little one!). The best advice really is to keep it simple.
Tip #1: I always recommend starting with a neutral palette. Light-colored top in creams, light grays, and light pastels help in keeping the focus on your expression and the moment.
Tip #2: Wear a simple, solid-colored top or flowy dress is a beautiful option. Pick a top with a long or 3/4 sleeve is a fabulous choice.
Tip #3: Flowy and textured tops are flattering are there is movement in the fabric and adds a feminine touch.
Tip #4: Wear clothing that compliments your style and decor… more importantly, wear a top you feel relaxed in.
The same rules for what to wear for newborn family photos apply to dads.
Tip #5: Solid-colored tops and long sleeve tops are preferred as they allow the pictures to focus on connection. Avoid large logos.
Tip #6: Wear a solid shirt that compliments mom’s top. A subtle pattern on dad’s shirt can add interest.
Tip #7: As an added bonus, dads can wear a light pink or blue top according to the baby’s gender.
No matter how old the sibling is, the main goal is to have them comfortable with photos with their baby sibling.
Tip #8: Pick comfortable clothing for younger children. This will help them feel relaxed for the photos.
Tip #9: Try to coordinate colors with parents. A light-colored top on the siblings helping in creating an angelic and sweet look.
